The Metamorphosis Conventional

The brief was to reinterpret the book “The Metamorphosis” by Franz Kafka. For those of you who don’t know The Metamorphosis is about a man called Gregor Samza who wakes up and discovers he has been transformed into a monstrous verminous bug. The book then tells of his and his family’s story, after this unfortunate event.

For this version we had to define our own conventions of the book.

I chose to create a book that at first glance looked conventional. But as the characters speech deteriorates throughout the book the text gets more complicated and eventually degenerates into text as image.
